I'm new, but I'm learning.

So, until this foray I had never taken a serious photo in my life.

Wait... what is a serious photo? I think I mean, I had never taken a photo intended to be seen by anyone other than me before. I think when I say 'serious photo' I actually show my biggest flaw. I think since giving this all a shot (see what i did there?), I have spent too long over thinking some shots or how to improve them.

I come from a background of web design. I mainly do programming but on solo projects I would quite competently do the graphics too, though this only amounted to small time logos and banners, although it all looked great. (I'm actually surprised at how many rubbish graphics there are out there on business websites when its quite easy to do!) So, anyway, where was I?

Oh yeah, so I was just doing this as a laugh, I was spurred on by Anna whom I had promised purple sheep to. Those same purple sheep have now come back to haunt me! I think I put them in the wrong category and whilst they were there they got to the first page in popularity for the month in that category. I think that alone got that picture some exposure, but I soon learnt that it didn't mean anything. My page never got any views off the back of it! Now I'm very tempted to just take down the damn sheep which I'm personally not a big fan of, nor very impressed. In fact it was just meant to be a joke.

There was me, attempting hard hitting photos showing the real drug problems of my city and all I got was people telling me they loved to see a purple sheep. Eeep.

Anyway, what am I about now. Well, I'm just going to try to take photos for myself again. See what they look like. I'm going to try to learn more, firstly by reading and secondly by seeing other peoples work and what I like in it.

DA... hmmm. Well, its obviously a bit messy isn't it. Full of what I would simply call porn, and bad anime. Of course there is a lot besides that, but it would seem the porn and bad anime sticks out a lot more. I find it very hard to find a really good photo. Not to say they aren't out there... just its hard.

Well, thats me. I'm going to enjoy this I think.
